Part of this process includes staying up to date with state and federal regulations to ensure our patients are being provided services that hold to the highest standards of medical care and regulatory practices in each and every state in which we operate.
The State Medical Board of Mississippi has implemented recent regulatory changes which impact the ability of telehealth providers in this state providing health and wellness programs including weight management treatment and GLP-1 medications. Because of this, Ivim Health and other telehealth providers offering weight loss solutions will no longer be able to provide services in the state via telehealth. We understand this may be disheartening news, however, at this time, in order to ensure full compliance with state regulations, Ivim Health patients with registered addresses in the state of Mississippi will have their membership to our nutritional resources and health and wellness programs cancelled as of 01/31/2024.
We thank you for your patience as we ensure all patients and providers are receiving the highest level of medical care while following appropriate regulatory guidelines. We will continue to work towards improving access to care designed for health and wellness optimization and access to GLP-1 medications.
